Back to Grandmom by Jessica D Adams is a fun and imaginative book for children. If you ever wondered what it would be like to travel back in time, then this book will be of interest to you. A young Janelle ponders the idea of traveling back in time to see her Grandmom. She and her sister Janiece had done it once before, about a year ago, and Janelle had hoped to see her again. Janiece, on the other hand, wasn't as keen on the idea. She hated the time travel part, and the lack of technology available back then. Whilst Janelle figures out how to make the trip happen, Janiece walks in and the two collide, sending them instantly back in time. Janelle is overjoyed to see her Grandmom again, and Janiece accepts the situation. Will they have a good trip visiting their late Grandmom and what do you think they will learn? Back to Grandmom is a professionally-written book with a heartwarming storyline. Jessica D Adams, together with illustrator Janelle M Adams, created an entertaining story that children will love. The reader's attention is captured from the very first page and keeps you that way until you reach the end. I enjoyed every word Jessica has written and was touched by the entire story. I wish I could go back in time to see my late family members; wouldn't that be amazing? This book is written to a high standard and I know children will enjoy reading it as much as I did.
