Appointed by Fate by Skye McNeil is a wonderful read. A whodunit mystery wrapped up in a romance story. McNeil twists together three love interests with a murder mystery to make this story hard to stop reading to get a good night’s sleep. Joci’s law firm is hired to represent a murder suspect. However, the person paying the bill just might be the mob. It just so happens Joci has a past connection to the accused murderer. Coincidentally, Joci has a past connection to the handsome lawyer who assists her in the case and she’s currently involved with a hottie cop. She’s determined to prove her hunk of a client innocent but will their pasts interfere with their present life? How will all this turn out? Who wins in the end? It’s a difficult and dangerous road for Joci. Like me, you’ll be up all night reading just to find out how this all ends.
I loved Appointed by Fate by Skye McNeil. The opening scene hooked me and made me feel like I was right there in the action and there were twists and turns everywhere that kept me reading. The characters seemed real, peoples’ lives were at stake, and hearts broken and healed. The genre mix of mystery, murder, mayhem, and love kept me in my seat until I had finished reading the entire novel in one day. I also liked that this was not a normal romance or mystery story with the typical genre expectations. Never knowing which way the action would go is the result of great writing. The cover is an amazing hook also. Who wouldn’t want to read about that hunk? I highly recommend Appointed by Fate by Skye McNeil for anyone who wants a great book and a great love story.
