Angela's Club: A Love Story by Carl Turner is a story that delves deep into love and human emotions. Dr. Nate Williams is a cardiologist and his busy life and dedication to excel as a doctor keep him away from relationships. He is trying to figure out his life when he meets Angela, a bookstore owner. Angela invites him to be part of her book club to develop his habit of reading. At the book club, Nate meets Cindy and her husband Rick, Gregg and his wife Samantha, Father Jim and Tony and Rita. All of them belong to different walks of life. Nate falls in love with Angela, which makes him see and understand the nuances of love and tears and the complications that arise from it in a whole new light.
The story is appealing and it has layers and dimensions to the plot which make it a compelling story. All the characters are defined well, including the people Nate meets at the book club. The story has good pace and movement and it is just not a love story. The many angles to the plot make it ingenious and keep readers glued to the story.
