An Adventure in Mysticism (Book 1 of Don Mardak's Grand Circle Series) by Don Mardak is an inspirational fiction novel that will appeal most to an audience made up primarily of adults, though some mature young adults may also appreciate the novel. An Adventure in Mysticism is all about showing and teaching the idea that life is more than what our five senses tell us. An Adventure in Mysticism introduces the idea that there may be higher planes of consciousness that can be accessed. This concept and idea are wrapped in a fiction story that follows a young boy named Eric.
An Adventure in Mysticism is a very well written fictional book that has concepts which could easily be considered non-fiction. I personally found it to be rather inspirational as it made me question myself and life beyond what my senses tell me. I found An Adventure in Mysticism to be intriguing and interesting as I also enjoyed following Eric. My favorite part was when Eric decides to follow Nehemiah in order to meet Mr. Shimahn.
