Adventures of Death, Reincarnation and Annihilation, written by Francis H. Powell, indeed offers an adventurous and very eloquent look into different scenarios regarding the preservation and continuation of the human race. Although it reads a bit like an anthology, offering the reader quite a few stories on the subject of primarily death and reincarnation, as well as the annihilation of the human race, this collection of short stories is more than just that. Set in different worlds and at different times, each of these stories imaginatively describes how we as humans deal with the complex idea of death and what comes after, if anything.
Francis H. Powell's collection of stories captures the fear of the unknown that is so present in our lives and transforms the reader's reality into a completely different world, where it seems that there are almost no boundaries as to what the human mind can imagine, create and achieve. With several very refreshing twists along the path, which hold the reader's attention to the end, Francis H. Powell's Adventures of Death, Reincarnation and Annihilation simply draws readers into this strange unknown world of facing their innermost fears: fear of oneself, fear of extinction. Well rounded and overall exciting, some long, some short, each of these imaginative stories will pull readers in and keep them on their toes the whole time during this vortex of a journey into the unknown. One will encounter plenty of excitement as the stories and the connection between them slowly unfold in a very unsuspecting and surprising way.
