Adopt a Dinosaur is a children's picture book by Andrew Abel. It introduces young readers to the Dinosaur Adoption Agency, a place where children can find their favorite prehistoric creatures. Each dinosaur featured in the book hopes to find a loving family, but the question remains whether they are suitable as pets with their sharp teeth, gigantic bodies, and destructive tendencies. The book features a range of dinosaurs, including Tyson the T-Rex, who is known for being scary and loud; Trike the Triceratops, who charges at everything and breaks toys; Vera the Velociraptor, who can eat other small pets, and many others. The book aims to provide fun insights into each dinosaur's unique features and characteristics.
Adopt a Dinosaur is a delightful story that teaches children about dinosaurs in a unique way. Unlike most children's books on this topic, the story explores the darker side of dinosaurs. Andrew Abel portrays dinosaurs as mischievous monsters that could be dangerous pets in our homes. The book is both informative and entertaining, making it a joy to read. Children will learn how to spell the names of different dinosaurs using the pronunciation guides provided, and to identify them based on their distinctive characteristics. The illustrations of the dinosaurs are simple but clear, and each one is depicted causing mayhem with a happy smile on their face. I could tell that they were not intentionally trying to cause any harm, but they were just struggling to fit in. I enjoyed reading this book and highly recommend parents and educators to share it with their children. Great work!
