Ace Carroway And The Deadly Violin is an action-adventure novel written by Guy Worthey. It is the sixth installment of Guy Worthey's The Adventures of Ace Carroway series. P. Charles Derkin, the concertmaster of the Toronto Symphony, feels distraught when he inherits a presumably cursed violin named the Cremona Cannon and brings it to the offices of Carroway and Associates. The Cremona Cannon has a history of killing its owners under mysterious circumstances and has already made Derkin's life a living hell. Cecilia and her associates -- the quirky and mischievous Quack and Bert -- must now solve the mystery and save Derkin before the Cremona Cannon makes him its next victim. But not everyone can be trusted as people with vested interests follow the Cremona Cannon.
Ace Carroway And The Deadly Violin is a wild rollercoaster of a novel that refuses to slow down and keeps you hooked till the last page. With colorful characters, snappy dialogue, and a bombardment of action scenes, Guy Worthey's novel is pure box office from start to finish. I had an absolute blast reading it, and I gulped it down in a single sitting. I especially liked the small excerpts of newspaper clippings between chapters as I felt that it made the story so much more immersive. The banter between Bert and Quack also made for some amusing moments that I enjoyed a lot. I look forward to reading more books from the series. If you're in the mood for a wild action-adventure novel, then grab a copy of Ace Carroway And The Deadly Violin.
