"A Still Quiet Place" is an awesome gift book written by Hope Lyda. Hope captures that still quiet place in your soul as you read the soothing and calming words written on the pages of this beautiful and special work of art. And to go along with the gentle and calm words, Darrell Bush adds his smooth touch of relaxation and calmness in his gorgeous paintings.
This book is truly a special gift that will give peace and joy to anyone you choose to give it to. I really love my copy. I find myself going through it sometimes reading the special essays and verses. At other times, I flip through the pages drinking in the awesomeness and beauty of God’s creation Darrell has so vividly captured through his paintings. The first look at the book’s cover will pull you in: the cabin with its lights shinning through the windows, the antique pickup sitting there and the peaceful lake in the background. Wow, makes me want to be at this place at my first glance.
You can tell I love this special book, and can never get tired of reading the words and looking at the paintings. I highly recommend “A Still Quiet Place” to anyone, because I don’t think there is a person out there who will not be blessed in some way by something in this book. And if you need a gift for someone but have no idea what to buy, this would be a great choice. And it will work for any type of gift. In other words, you just can’t go wrong giving a gift of calming peace and quiet.
