A Sisterhood of Women Living Life by Cheryl Holloway is a superb collection of short stories with messages of hope and inspiration. The stories are about real people and real subject matter. You will see people going through emotional suffering as they try to resolve their inner pain, including a woman who is pregnant and is unsure of who the father is. Will she tell the men involved the truth or hide it from them both? Then there is a mother, whose daughter has been raped by her boyfriend. Will she seek revenge and risk imprisonment? This book will take you on a roller coaster of emotions and you will no doubt ask yourself, "What would I do in a similar situation?"
A Sisterhood of Women Living Life by Cheryl Holloway contains brilliantly written short stories. It hooked my attention instantly because these stories are on subjects that are so realistically written. The strong female characters are three dimensional and the author obviously knew the values of each character and put a lot of thought into their backstories. You became emotionally involved in their situations. I wish some of the stories could have gone on for longer, as a lot of the subjects could be novels in their own right. Every story took me on a journey that questioned my own morals and values, but especially Rape's Revenge; that was very emotional and I was on tenterhooks regarding what decision she would make. Excellent read throughout. I would love to read more from this author. Cheryl Holloway knows how to create strong female characters and build tension to involve the reader in the story.
