Corrine Sharpe’s A Royal Love Revealed is a message of hope for the grieving. Sharpe’s goal was to write a book that would open readers' eyes to see God’s “unshakeable and all consuming” love. In her memoir, Corrine shares the loss of her beloved mother and of how she found solace through the heart of God. After the death of her mom, Corrine and her family begin to see images of hearts. The heart blessings would appear in moments of great need or times of sorrow, and often came in the most unlikely of ways. As a result, the heart sightings encouraged their hearts and souls. God’s faithfulness turned their grief into joy through His miraculous love notes.
A Royal Love Revealed by Corrine Sharpe illustrates God’s love. The theme of the book is: If you seek God, you will find him. God’s heart of love is ready and waiting to be revealed. Sharpe covers topics of pride, trust, real life struggles, and the value of friendships, just to name a few. Each chapter contains numerous examples, accompanied by photos of the miraculous heart sightings. At the close of each chapter are two “heartbeats;” they contain thought provoking questions and suggestions for practical application. The journalistic writing style reads a bit choppily at times, not all paragraphs flow with ease together, but all contain examples and scriptures pertaining to heart truths. Out of all the nuggets of truth penned, my favorite is: “This is a war, a war for our hearts.” Therefore, we must guard our hearts against all attacks. This inspirational work proves that there is a God and He loves us.
