A young woman teams up with her new business partner to clear her ex-husband's name of murder in the charming, cozy audiobook, A Hole In One (A Glass Dolphin Mystery) by Judy Penz Sheluk, narrated by Kelli Lindsay. Arabella Carpenter, owner of the Glass Dolphin Antique Shop, reluctantly agrees to host a Hole-In-One contest with co-owner Emily Garland. Emily insists the competition is the perfect opportunity to publicize their store. The stakes are high if there is a winner, but Arabella feels that the publicity could do their little antique shop in. Emily argues that nobody will possibly make such a complicated shot. Arabella doesn't get the chance to find out. Soon after the contest starts, Arabella stumbles on a dead body, halting the event.
With little knowledge of the deceased, Arabella is quick to accidentally lead the detectives straight to her ex-husband, who was acting as Course Marshall during the time of the murder. Begging for Emily's assistance, Arabella is determined to find the killer and clear her ex's name before she loses him forever. With the help of Emily's former investigative reporter skills and Arabella's tenacity, they are confident that they will succeed; until they uncover more dark secrets and deceptions hidden in Arabella's ex's past. Now, they have a responsibility to take the information to the police. Will the duo be able to clear Arabella's ex-husband? In clearing him, who will the guilty party be?
A Hole In One (A Glass Dolphin Mystery) by Judy Penz Sheluk is the second novel in the Glass Dolphin Mystery series. This is an exciting and fun cozy mystery, and I especially enjoyed how quickly the characters grew. It was refreshing to encounter characters that actually grow in a cozy mystery! The settings were interesting and the cast delightful. This audiobook was a pleasure to listen to. The narrator was the perfect performer for the story. Kelli Lindsay gave an extra dash of personality to the characters and settings. Performed with humor and suspense, Ms. Lindsay's narrative style was a refreshing addition to this audiobook.
