It teaches much-needed lessons, whether you are a regular church-goer or not, and the benefits of reading this book are significant. I found myself taking a deeper look at my own life and identifying issues that hindered my spiritual growth through ignorance. Written with sensitivity, it does not blame or shame, but edifies, instructs, and strengthens. You will find renewed awareness of how essential it is to align your thoughts and deeds, and how to keep the faith, even when you are at your lowest ebb. It's about spiritual growth and how to trust God through good and bad times.
A God-balanced Life by James Edward Puckett uses heroes from the Bible such as Job, who suffered tremendously but still kept the faith, as well as Noah, who stayed on the path and built the ark despite what others thought. They were favored by God because of their hearts and humility, plus their unwavering faith in Him. Reading this book is a journey - one of learning, increasing your knowledge, and instilling wisdom and trust. It equips us with much-needed guidance and a reminder that our journey and destination as Christians should be viewed as what God has planned for us, also providing armor that will protect and guide us to our desired end destination: Heaven. Well written with supporting real-life examples from the scriptures, this is a book you would want to read more than once during your life’s journey.
