In A Frenzied Bid For Murder by Ellie Oberth, Venice attends a storage facility auction with one of her house-mates, Tanya. Tanya wins the bid for a locker that is eerily set up as a shrine for a lovely young girl. Within the depths of a dresser inside the locker, Venice finds several journals. Tanya wants to throw them away, along with all the other personal items. Venice disagrees and insists that it would be unlucky to throw the contents of a shrine away, and takes the journal and a few of the other items that Tanya deemed as trash with her. Venice picks up one of the journals with the name Brenda written across the top and flips it open. As she reads the entries, she catches a glimpse of the young girl's life. Missing her own daughter who is away at school in England, she can't seem to leave the journals alone. As she delves into the journals, Venice discovers an inference to a possible murder of a missing girl. Despite the opposition she faces from her friends and the police, she begins the search to find Brenda and Daisy's killer.

A Frenzied Bid For Murder by Ellie Oberth is an amazing and exciting sleuthing/murder mystery. For anyone who loves a good sleuthing book, this one is a smash hit. Once I started reading, I couldn't put it down. The way the story unfolds keeps the reader so engrossed they can't set the book aside until the final word. The one fault I could find was it ended too soon. I wish the story could have been a little longer. I recommend this to those readers who love a good sleuthing mystery.
