A Dangerous Deal by Philippa Jane Keyworth is a beautiful novel set in the 18th century in England. It will appeal to lovers of historical romance. The plot is unique and intriguing. It portrays the challenges women of that era faced. They had no control or say about their lives, especially in marriage and education. Women who grew backbones and seized their destinies were labeled deviants and improper. Philippa created impressive characters, especially Rachel. I love strong, vocal, and intelligent women, and Rachel displayed these qualities, making her the perfect main character/protagonist. However, there are other characters that I loved to hate. The Feltons were my recipe for laughter, and I loved them. A Dangerous Deal was well written, easy to follow, and maintained great dialogues. Philippa should write more.
