Pierre Lombard's 8 Clear Proofs for Intelligent Design helps those questioning evolution to understand why creation is a better choice. This succinct book introduces the reader to eight simple categories that show how evolution is scientifically and logically impossible. Much more can be written supporting intelligent design as being more harmonious with true science. The eight categories Pierre uses are as follows: 1) Symbiosis, 2) Chirality (asymmetry), 3) Beauty, 4) Gender, 5) Seeds, 6) DNA, 7) Mitochondria, and 8) Oxygen. Pierre touches on the highlights and does not go into deep scientific discussions or explanations. An example of how symbiosis shows intelligent design is the symbiotic relationship between bees and flowers. One would not survive while waiting for the other to evolve. Hopefully, this book will inspire the reader to do further research and see how intelligent design makes good science.
Pierre Lombard has spent more than a decade debating evolution vs. creation. He shares some debate points in 8 Clear Proofs for Intelligent Design. He is a firm believer in creation occurring by intelligent design. Pierre writes in a simple style that is easy for most non-scientists to understand. I love the statement near the front of the book that says, “Ignorance is possibly the biggest hurdle for everyone to overcome.” Pierre does his best to help people become aware of the importance of understanding that an intelligent design demands an intelligent designer. As Pierre mentions several times, this book is just an overview, and the eight proofs deserve much deeper study. This is a good little book to use in introducing someone to creation as a viable alternative to evolution.
