J. Salvatore Domino brings us a compelling mystery in Your Undercover Brother: An Able Body Mystery. When Able Body started his private detective agency, using the quirky name that most people had for him, he thought he had a catchy slogan. Everybody could use an Able Body to help them uncover the truth about their unfaithful spouse. And when his ex-girlfriend, Jessica Sekelsky-McGleam, asks Able to help her find her husband’s murderer, he is more than willing to help. After all, it’s been 10 years and he still can’t get her out of his mind. In Boston, Able teams up with his former employer to help catch a killer with revenge on their mind. What Able didn’t count on was discovering the truth that could turn his whole world upside down.
Author J. Salvatore Domino has set the stage perfectly with an easily likable and relatable protagonist. The plot is engaging, and you will turn the pages from start to finish. Your Undercover Brother is a comfortable read that hits all the right notes for an interesting sleuth novel. The pace is constant and steady with no dull moments. With no swearing or sexual situations, this book is suitable for younger readers as well. It is written in the first-person from the perspective of our main PI, giving us insight into his thoughts and feelings throughout the entire investigation. Character growth is evident and enhances the theme of changes coming about. I enjoyed this author's writing and look forward to more books.
