The close narration around familiar characters allows us to see new challenges testing their mettle, and I felt very attached to those capable figures even when new vulnerabilities come to light that they have to overcome to save others. The philosophical underpinnings of the narrative really make you think about the nature of power, relationships, and the consequences of exceptional abilities. I often found myself wondering what I’d do in these tricky, tense situations. Woodland navigates complex themes with ease, and the plot is well-paced to offer new excitement all the time, but never overwhelms the reader. Overall, You Think You Can't See Me is highly recommended for fans of paranormal adventure in a plot packed with cosmic intrigue, human connections, and the unexpected consequences of extraordinary abilities.
