You Can't Pay Bills With Food Stamps takes the reader deep into the issues of living in poverty. Having to go without is natural and ever getting anything above the norm would have been considered a luxury. Learning how to get food tickets and selling them was a part of the adventure of high school. Trading the tickets for money made sense to Valentino. He experienced all types of businesses throughout his lifetime and the reader will be able to read about some of those adventures. Author Valentino V. Warren certainly had an entrepreneur's heart and passion. While owning a restaurant, working long hours, and missing church more than one should, he and his wife drew closer together and supported each other in the big picture, even if there were moments they didn't agree over something tiny.
Author Valentino V. Warren is now able to be presented a Spokesman of the Year award as he has reinvested his life into others and getting things accomplished. Each person has their own level of need as well as supply. This is a very interesting book that will allow the reader to be engaged throughout the author's journey. There are many moments when one can become discouraged and give up, but the author makes it clear that God didn't give up on us so we shouldn't give up on Him and on others.
