Xmas: Eugenus ... The Next Step in Human Evolution! by Victor Ramon Mojica is a story about Christmas. Once upon a time, Christmas used to be celebrated with much noise, festivity and joy. Things have changed now. The 31st century is different and Christmas is no longer celebrated. Why? Because mankind has joined together in all they believe and in all their rituals. There is peace on earth and no more war. Mankind gave up waiting for God to intervene and took matters into their own hands. They wanted Utopia so they built Utopia. But one night changes everything that Eugenus believed in, one stormy night when Santa crashes and Eugenus finds him. But was it real or was it a dream?
Xmas: Eugenus ... The Next Step in Human Evolution! by Victor Ramon Mojica was something completely different. It is primarily a picture book with text bubbles and I must say I was impressed with the artwork. The story itself is simple, set way in the future, long after humankind stopped believing in miracles and in Santa. More than just a story though, there is a lesson to be learned, a lesson that dictates that if we truly want something, we must work for it; we must solve our own problems and not wait for divine intervention, not wait for someone else to do it for us. This is an excellent story for kids and more than a few older readers could probably benefit from it as well! Terrific book, really well illustrated and a tale well told!
