When Sophia, the main character, takes control of her anxiety, she becomes much more confident. This book shares techniques for taking back control and getting rid of dark thoughts.
Worry Moves On is full of outstanding illustrations by InSong Nam. The illustrations of people and objects are very well done. I love how she draws worry when it comes to visit. The illustrations are varied—some images fill the page with background color, whereas others have a light background. The tones, blending, and portrayals of people are very well executed. Author Liz Haske has created a wonderful, easy-to-understand book with techniques for getting rid of worry or anxiety and taking back control of your life. I highly recommend this book for children and adults. Its powerful demonstrations could be helpful for themselves or someone they know. I believe that public libraries, school libraries, homes, and classrooms should consider stocking this important book.
