Wish by Leslie A. Susskind is a delightful story of a dandelion. The story begins and ends with "Wish" and readers get to see the dandelion going whoosh and whee. The dandelion flutters, flies far, and dances, and it's also soft, tickles and teases. The circular theme tells readers about how nature works and how everything in life comes full circle. The story captivates readers with the beauty of nature. The concept is simple, excellent, and presented in a magical way.
The author enchants readers with one-word descriptions and beautiful illustrations. What a charming way to tell kids about the way nature functions. The illustrations are magical, like the author's words, and capture the concept beautifully and give good pace and movement to the story. It's a good bedtime storybook and is also helpful in improving vocabulary. The book can also be used for interactive sessions in classrooms and school libraries. The journey of the dandelion shows the symbiotic relationship we share with nature.
I found the book enchanting; the pictures, the word choices, and the concept have all been put together to give it a delicate and ethereal feel. The book will make young readers imagine and create a lot of memories. The concept is so simple but is put together so uniquely that it will linger in the minds of readers.
