Transforming Earth Into Heaven is book two in Tommy S.W. Wong’s Wisdom on How to Live Life Series. It takes the form of a light but enlightening conversation, questions and answers, between a young seeker of truth and a guru. Guru Harry explains to young Tom how he, and in fact the human race as a whole, can reach a state of peace, love, joy and harmony. He describes each of the principles which involves changing our thoughts and priorities, how to discover our life purpose, realizing we are all One and part of the same Divine, the importance of meditation, realizing that all is good (even the bad has something good to teach us) and, importantly, what we will find in the continuation of our real selves after death. Two short Appendixes explain some of these ideas more fully.
I found Wisdom on How to Live Life: Transforming Earth Into Heaven a very readable and clearly written book. It teaches some profound truths in an accessible and empowering way. The author’s theories are sound and fit in with the beliefs and revelations of popular spiritual teachers – and in fact with some of the underlying teachings of the major religions. Young Tom’s questions might well be the reader’s questions, and this gives the book a personal and heartening feel as the guru reveals answers and explanations. There is a light and humorous tone to parts of the conversations too, and Wong presents his two characters as having warmth, love, and respect for each other. Wong has found a way to present some truths about life’s meaning and purpose without overloading the reader with too much in-depth theoretical language. He gets to the heart of what matters, making this a book that could easily change lives, give comfort and meaning, and promote better relationships between individuals and communities. If you’re seeking answers and enjoy reading books about spiritual truths and finding enlightenment, then S.W. Wong’s series will go a long way to helping you along that path.
