Positive attitudes, looking at the world with pleasure and belief in all things good. These are important attributes to make a strong person, one who cares and shares positive energy with others and the world as a whole. But how does one go about being positive. Start each day by finding something good: in people, in the view out your window, in the food on your plate. Make each moment of your day something to rejoice. “Your ears are listen/ They make my heart glisten/ They bring sunshine/ To this ol’ soul of mine.” Everything about life, human relations, and nature is full of miracles, if only we take a moment to stop and appreciate what we have, what the world has given us to enjoy.
Jet Widick’s little collection of poems, White Wild Indigo: An Illustrated Collection of Poems for Children, is full of positive, fun thoughts. Everything from breakfast foods, science, and art, to the great big universe and all the stars in between, there is so much positive energy out there. All we have to do is take a moment to appreciate and enjoy it. This illustrated collection of positive energy poems is a combination of fun words, word plays, catchy rhymes and so much more as the poet presents a colorful view of life for all of us to enjoy. The little book is intended for children, but it is a positive booster for adults as well. A real treasure of a book, one to enjoy over and over again.
