Dita Dominguez is affectionately known as DD or the prude to Ares Volt, her newly acquired roommate and stepbrother. The relationship between Ares and his father is a strained one, which has led to Ares’ little revenge plan with Dita right in the middle. As they say, all is fair in love and war. Grab your copy and drink of choice to witness this enthralling game of chess which is about to unfold before your eyes.
It's been a while since I’ve read an enemies-to-lovers romance. Despite being thrown into this different and fast life with her new stepbrothers, Dita deals with it beautifully. She is such a strong female lead who doesn’t back down and perseveres to overcome any of the obstacles in her way. There was no denying her immediate attraction upon meeting Ares Volt; it was visceral. The same could be said about Ares, which threw a metaphorical wrench into his revenge plans. When Snakes Dance by Devi Duarta is a spicy romance with a dual POV, a morally grey hero, and situations that will have you clutching your pearls. My favorite part was witnessing Ares’ growth and character development, not only with Dita but with his father as well. The strained relationship between father and son adds dimension to the story and gives you hope for a better future for them. I can’t wait for more from Devi Duarta!
