When Parenting Is A Foreign Language by Diane Ross-Glazer is a useful book on parenting and gives a peek into a child's emotional world, allowing one to become more aware while bringing up kids. It's a book that can be read many times and can be used as a guide for reference. The personal stories and experiences in the book are useful for readers. The book educates readers on how to deal with tantrums and prevent children from misbehaving in public. The book helps parents to communicate with their kids in a better way, understand their behavior and gently guide them toward more acceptable patterns of behavior.

I will definitely recommend this book to all parents because it helps build up healthy relationships with one's kids. The author's tips are simple, easy to put into practice, and insightful. There is a lot of information in the book and it is an effective manual in bringing up children and maintaining a healthy relationship with them. Mother of Two

A Must Read! July 13, 2014
Diane Ross-Glazer has turned her years of experience as a therapist and a mother to create a book that is accessible and helpful to all parents. The book is straight-forward with practical suggestions to help give children a positive and empowering upbringing. The chapters are laid out so that you can skip around and pick up advice as you have time. As a mother of a tween and a teen, I find the emphasis on communication, and expression and acceptance of feelings to be most useful. I love that Ms. Ross-Glazer uses examples from her own life to illustrate her points--and it is truly refreshing that she is not afraid to admit that she herself has made mistakes. I highly recommend this book to all parents and parents-to-be. Thank you, Ms. Ross-Glazer, for giving us a parenting book that we can understand and use to help us raise our children to be the best they can be.

Reading Rocks

A Must Read For All Parents May 1, 2014
Dr. Ross-Glazer's book is helpful and at the same time insightful and humorous. Her personal stories and experiences make you understand that she has been there and can help you get through it. Her tactics can be geared not only to children but to adults, as well. It will be a reference tool in my library for years to come.

Parenting As A Second Language April 7, 2014
Dr. Glazer was able to summarize an immense amount of information into an easy guide to parenting. I have four children and Dr. Glazer helped me realize the miscommunication between our good intentions and what a child can understand. I just wish I had read this sooner. This book would be an excellent gift for any expectant parent!

The Go-To-Book for Parenting! March 26, 2014
Parenting as a Second Language is an easy read and has become our family's go-to-book for everyday questions regarding child rearing. The techniques are simple and effective with our almost three-year-old. My husband and I feel confident with the book's approaches to raising our family because it has worked in our home. Most importantly, my husband and I are on the same page regarding how we would like to raise our family - a result after "working this book". GREAT, GREAT FIND and would recommend to young families.

A OWNER'S MANUAL FOR BEING A PARENT March 11, 2014
As a child of a broken home and someone who has spent many years in Therapy, I only wish my parents had read this book before having me! Now, as a parent myself, I can appreciate the basis for which this book is written. Im not a big reader, however Dr. Glazer's writing style is a joy to read and easy to understand.

I encourage ALL parents to read this book! It not only helps to better understand your child, it helps to better understand yourself!

Thank You Diane for writing such an extraordinary book!

I'm truly grateful.
