Eleu and the rest of her classmates cannot seem to sit still or behave themselves properly at school. Most teachers have had enough as the children go crazy and run away. A patient teacher decides to take them on a field trip to the zoo, but with an unexpected twist. There are no animals at the zoo and the result is that the children can run amuck at the zoo all day. The sneaky teacher had big ideas about teaching the children a lesson in behavior. The funniest part is at the end when things do not go quite as planned. What will the energetic, noisy children do next? Find out in the fun and crazy tale Welcome to the Eleu Zoo (What's An Eleu? Book 5) by Dr. Dada.
Welcome to the Eleu Zoo by Dr. Dada is a treat for young readers. The energy on each page grabs your attention right from the start. The rhymes are so terrific that both young listeners and older readers alike will love this book. It’s a story meant for reading many times. The passion in this book is prodigious. Fun is its signature note and the pictures are great too. The unusual layout is bold yet functional. The innovative use of font colors is equally impressive. When the teacher told the children that the zoo was where they belonged, I thought she was joking. I loved the surprise ending. I recommend this book for children learning to read and those reading for pleasure.
