Weight loss is a huge topic among both women and a lot of men. And everyone is looking for a quick fix when it comes to losing those extra pounds, but those of us who struggle with weight problems know that there is no quick fix at all. One thing sweeping the country today is surgery to lose weight, and that is what this book, Weight Loss Surgery, talks about. This book covers gastric bypass, gastric sleeve, and lap band surgeries, and explains the difference between these three procedures. Weight Loss Surgery, The Real Skinny by Nick Nicholson M.D, and B.A. Blackwood is a book to help those who have had gastric bypass surgery. You will find out that losing weight with gastric bypass surgery is not an easy journey, but following the tips and information in this book will help you live through the difficult struggles you will encounter.
One thing discussed is not only just losing the weight and the way a person looks; the book goes into detail about personality changes, and these changes are different with each person. You will better understand what happens after surgery, the recovery and consequences of surgery, financial expenses that you will have with follow up and recovery, and the overall mental aspects and the moods and feelings you will experience while traveling this road. Overall, this is a very informative book to have following weight loss surgery. A few years ago, I spoke with a surgeon in detail about gastric bypass, and for me it was just too much to deal with. Weight Loss Surgery: The Real Skinny is a book that I highly recommend if you are even thinking about any type of weight loss surgery. Reading this can help you decide whether or not you want to take this route.
