We Woof You From The Bottom Of Our Hearts by Kathy Vassilakis is a children’s picture book centered around a lovely family that we get to watch grow, humans as well as dogs. A picture book with a narrative style, We Woof You From The Bottom Of Our Hearts includes a rhyme scheme. The rhyming produces a particular reaction, which is that you can’t help wanting to sing along to the words as you say them out loud, with a smile on your face. The illustrations are vibrant, coming alive on the pages, and the characters beam with happiness that translates throughout the book.
Kathy Vassilakis’ We Woof You From The Bottom Of Our Hearts pulled at my heartstrings from page one. It’s not every day that we get to watch a character from birth age into an older child in the matter of a few pages and have it flow in a perfectly realistic way. Nor is it usual to watch how a furry family member is truly one of the family, the way that We Woof You From The Bottom of Our Hearts portrays so amazingly with the adopted fur baby members, Bella and Lady. This is a book that keeps you smiling from page one until the very last page. Its positivity and descriptions of happy days spent together will make your heart swell bigger and bigger, to the point that you may find yourself wanting to adopt another furry son or daughter into your family.
