In War’s Passion by Lia Davis, all the gods, demigods and dragons are coming! When Gwendolyn Preston’s parents were killed by a dragon, she knew that either she had gone mad or she needed to leave the city. Her best friend accompanied her and now the two of them are living in a small house in a fishing village in picturesque Maine. She wants to re-start her life away from those nightmarish creatures and away from any implication of it. However, just when she believes that her life has gone back to normal, a deadly, dark and mouthwateringly handsome stranger enters her life and takes everything back to square one.
Markus Sullivan is not your normal man. He is the son of the God of War and even if that was not enough, he has to become the liaison between his father and his other brothers. The demigods are trying to rebel against the gods and start a war that will only bring more misery and havoc into their lives. It is his responsibility to stop them. He finds out their next target is the granddaughter of Aphrodite; her name is Gwendolyn and she needs to be protected from the war. Together, they have to find a way to stop the war and Markus has to find a way to keep her safe. Soon, passion and desire ignite and they have to fight to keep their hands off each other, or give in to the temptation and find a way to do all that is necessary and keep each other in their lives as well.
War’s Passion by Lia Davis is not what you expect. You will think of a cheesy romance with a hint of paranormal, but it is so much more than that. Instead of instant love, there is an instant attraction. Their passion is not over the top erotic but very elegant. Plus, the mythological elements are not in your face, but rather they are easy to digest and anticipate. Five stars from this amazed reader. I really enjoyed it! Can't wait for more from this author!
