This particular book was born out of a desire to tell the world about inspirational Sikh women from our history. Very little is written in English, but there is so much to learn and take from Rani Sada Kaur's story - which continues to inspire Sikhs today.

At the tender age of twenty-two, Rani Sada Kaur became a widow when her husband, Sardar Gurbaksh Singh, fell in battle. She had one daughter, Mehtab Kaur, and no son to succeed her husband. Her father-in-law, Jai Singh, needed an heir to preserve the integrity of the Misl, which burdened him. Sada Kaur, who had taken a vow to avenge her husband's death, stepped up to the task. She promised to keep the Misl together, take back conquered territories, and create a sovereign Panjab. Warrior Queen – Rani Sada Kaur by Ranveer Singh portrays a woman of valor who was fierce on the battlefield as she was wise and kind at the home front. She will juggle love for her people, loyalty to a betrayer, and devotion to her family.
Warrior Queen – Rani Sada Kaur by Ranveer Singh is a brilliant epic historical novel that will appeal to every audience. It features themes like bravery, loyalty, grief, the art of war, spirituality, and more. The plot was a strong and unique one–a fictional tale that felt like reality. I loved the narrative storytelling style, which took me from the present into the past. Character development was also fantastic, as Ranveer built them formidably. My salute to Sada Kaur because I was so in awe of her. Desa and Rami also have my respect because they were fierce women. I wish that this book was longer because it reiterates that women can be more! I liked the glossary at the end because it helped me understand some words. This is an inspiring masterpiece, and I loved it.
