A major part of Christ's ministry here on earth was to cast out demons, an authority he passed on to his disciples. Other Jews were also involved in casting out unclean spirits. When the demons rebelled, they were banished from heaven and came to earth, where they continued to dwell. It is important to put an end to their activities as they negatively impact believers. Victory over the Devil by FP Ebireri can be rightly considered a guide to true Christian living and covers a wide range of issues that affect us, such as overcoming evil and staying true to the Christian ministry. I loved the way that Ebireri was clear and concise, making the book effective in passing on the intended message. The numerous references to the scriptures can also be used as a guide to delve deeper into the word of God. I found the book particularly thought-provoking when evaluating the way that Christianity is practiced today in comparison with earlier times. It got me reflecting on whether we are utilizing the gifts and authority bestowed upon us by Christ. Readers will also appreciate the easy-to-understand language, which makes it accessible to all types of readers. I cannot wait to read something more by this author to gain a better understanding of Christian living.
