Vestige: Fathers and Daughters is the sixth installment of Ellen C. Maze's The Rabbit Saga. Sixteen years after the events of 11/13, Elder Rakum Canaan leads a fulfilling life raising his teenage daughters, Kelly Meade and Shebah, alongside his loving wife, Chloe. But the unexpected arrival of an old acquaintance fills it with temptations that he finds hard to resist. In the meantime, a former ZK of an abusive Rakum is on a revenge killing spree that threatens everyone while a Rakum named Miah seeks to rebuild The Keeping. As Canaan and his friends intensify their hunt for the killer, Kelly Meade and Shebah find themselves trapped in the wrong hands. Canaan must now give his all to rescue his daughters. But a traitor in their midst complicates things further.
If you loved books written by Anne Rice or movies such as Interview With the Vampire, you should probably check out The Rabbit Saga. Vestige: Fathers and Daughters continues Ellen C. Maze's tale of the powerful and seductive Rakum who unwittingly have to come to terms with their mortal life. Ellen C. Maze writes in a fluid and easily accessible style that instantly transports you amongst the Rakum. Each character feels unique with a distinct personality trait. I enjoyed every single one of them although Canaan, Kelly Meade, Shebah, and Beryl were my personal favorites of the bunch. Overall, I enjoyed Vestige: Fathers and Daughters. I will highly recommend lovers of the vampire genre to pick up The Rabbit Saga.
