Venetian Moon by Maria Grazia Swan is a mystery novel set in Italy. It is the second book in the Lella York Mystery series. Lella is upset with her boyfriend, Larry. Without discussing her feelings with Larry, she flies to Italy. Her son, Kyle, is filming a movie there. Lella stays in the apartment that Kyle shares with a famous Italian actor. On the night of her arrival, the illustrious man disappears. A few hours later, Kyle's friend, a reporter, disappears. Lella is the last person to see either of them. Kyle and his agent try to keep Lella out of the limelight, but she manages to wind up on the front page of the newspaper anyway. The press has branded Lella as 'The Black Widow.' Will Kyle's career survive the notoriety and scandalous allegations against her? Will they find the missing celebrity and journalist, or will Lella end up in an Italian jail?
The fiery Lella York is back in this delightful mystery novel, Venetian Moon by Maria Grazia Swan. When Lella left for Italy, she acted without thinking things through clearly. Her impetuosity got her and her son into a compromising situation. You can't help but fall in love with the obstinate and passionate Lella as she tries to help her son. This is a splendid mystery and a spectacular read for everyone over the age of sixteen. Even though it is part of a series, it is a great standalone. What an amazing book. I am so glad that I was able to read and review it. An enjoyable series with delightful characters. Great work! I highly recommend it to cozy mystery fans.
