Upgraded: How the Internet has Modernised the Human Race by Andy Law deals with a relevant topic; the internet and how it creates the leitmotif for all of us. Our social behavior and our communication have seen a drastic change and everything we do has also changed. The internet is moving faster than anything we created, which makes us wonder if we are developing fast enough with the new abilities we have been given. The book stresses how the internet has increased and enhanced almost all our human capabilities and how it has created a new perspective for everyone.
The book is an insightful read and speaks about the dizzying rate at which technology has taken over in a manner so that every part of our lives is affected. The author also speaks about the silent progress of the internet, making it the biggest thing we ever created on the planet. The book will make readers look at the positive side of the internet and how nowadays we can communicate even when we are not communicating. The author covers the topic extensively and speaks about how we are spreading across more forms and functions of the modern world.
What I liked most about this book is that instead of reading the usual negatives about the internet, the author points out the pluses and how all the prospects are exciting and attainable if the fullest impact of the internet is understood properly.
