Fiction writer Deven Greene lives in the San Francisco Bay area. Ever since childhood, Deven has been interested in science. After working as a biochemist, she went back to school and became a pathologist. When writing fiction, the author usually incorporates elements of medicine or science. Deven Greene’s Unwitting: Erica Rosen MD Trilogy, Book 2 continues with central character Dr. Erica Rosen enjoying her married life with Lim. One day, the pair finds themselves in a dangerous situation. After a suicide bomber causes an explosion during a baseball game at Oracle Park near Dr. Rosen’s home, she starts feeling uneasy every time she is outside. One day, Dr. Rosen receives a call from a teacher who works with young autistic men. The teacher believes that her dear students are somehow involved in the horrible explosion that took place recently. Fearing that she would be ridiculed for her claims, instead of calling the law enforcement, she calls Dr. Rosen, who has experience handling children with special needs. Dr. Rosen cannot turn her away, and soon she finds herself entangled in life-threatening circumstances. Will she be able to protect everyone and catch the cruel criminal behind the explosion?
Unwitting by Deven Greene is an action-packed and engaging novel! People who love a mix of medical thrillers and a bit of action will surely be hooked on the Rosen MD Trilogy books. I felt the adrenaline rush and thrill every time Dr. Rosen was suddenly faced with a dilemma or a life-threatening situation. With every chapter I finished, I was eager to find out what happened next. I admire Dr. Rosen and her husband, Lim, because of how courageously they handled all the difficulties despite the danger they were in. Another character that caught my attention was the autistic student Zaron, who helped them with the case despite his struggles. Greene did an excellent job of putting this book together. With its unforgettable characters and exciting plot, I had trouble putting it down! From the moment I read the summary of this book, I could tell that this was going to be an exceptional work, and it did not disappoint. I am looking forward to the next book of the Erica Rosen MD Trilogy.
