Book 1 by Rob Marsh. Myles is a mild-mannered young man who still lives with his parents and doesn’t seem to have much of a future. That is until a crazy man bursts into his office talking about a conspiracy that threatens the world. Flying space rocks, vampires and a machine that sucks public tax money away from the citizens are just some of the obstacles to defeat.
