Two Hearts' Christmas Promise is a work of fiction in the romance genre and is the latest installment in the Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance series. It is suitable for the general reading audience and was penned by author Tamara Ferguson. The book follows the romance of Sean and Alexandra, who first meet as teenagers and then again as adults. Now an Air Force Lieutenant and news correspondent respectively they enjoy a magical Christmas together, culminating in their engagement. But one year later and Alexandra’s experiences in a dangerous war zone have left her scarred and unable to face her love, but Sean is determined to keep their Christmas promise to each other.

I’ve read several romance books now which follow the theme of a wounded soldier returning home and finding love with the woman who rehabilitates them into the world. What a refreshing change of pace it was to see Tamara Ferguson flip that script on its head and give readers an entirely new perspective by having the woman in the couple be the one scarred and in need of healing. It’s a risky strategy to mix up a winning formula so dramatically, but the resulting book is evidence that this author has the skill to make such a move and still produce an engaging and absorbing romance story. Sean is a wonderful romantic lead, and Alexandra’s perspective on returning from a dangerous world wounded and shocked is brilliantly done. Two Hearts' Christmas Promise is a must-read for avid fans of romantic literature. I heartily recommend it to all.

Two Hearts’ Christmas Promise is the twelfth installment of Tamara Ferguson’s Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance Book series. When Sean Reynolds rescued Alexandra Evans from a skating accident, it forged a lifelong bond between them, although neither understood it back then. Years later, Sean, now a lieutenant in Air Force Pararescue team, comes back to Crystal Rock during Christmas. Alexandra, a renowned news reporter, is vacationing there as well. Sparks fly all around when both finally realize they were destined to be together. However, their perilous jobs and the prospect of a long-distance relationship make them hesitate. Things take a downward turn when a bomb attack leaves Alexandra scarred, both physically and emotionally. Will the duo be able to keep their ‘Christmas promise?’

In Two Hearts’ Christmas Promise, Tamara Ferguson develops a sweet, romantic story. Alexandra and Sean’s love story never feels rushed. They fall for each other in an effortless, natural way. After rediscovering the hidden passions, the time they spend together sounds almost magical, transporting readers to an entirely different realm. Alexandra’s tragic accident puts their mutual adoration to a stringent test, yet they both come out of it in flying colors. The two brave souls out to conquer the world with their fierce determination ultimately learn to accept a simple truth. Love doesn’t look for a pleasant outward appearance but seeks inner beauty. Their story provides a soothing, healing touch to the soul. I would recommend Two Hearts’ Christmas Promise to anyone who appreciates romance.

When Alexandra and Sean both find themselves home for the Christmas season, they see each other for the first time in years. When they were in high school, Sean saved Alexandra’s life after she fell through the ice, and they both felt an attraction to each other but never acted on it. They graduated and moved on with their lives, dating people, working jobs, and just doing their own things, but none of their relationships ever worked out, and they didn’t know why. Turns out, no one could make Alexandra and Sean feel anything similar to what they felt for each other. Two Hearts’ Christmas Promise by Tamara Ferguson is an exploration of finding true love, no matter the circumstances that may fall upon people.

Two Hearts’ Christmas Promise is a heartwarming, sweet romance that I absolutely adored. It was an easy read that kept me engaged, and I was so invested in the outcome of the characters. Alexandra and Sean were both wonderful characters who had great personalities and were passionate about their jobs and beliefs, which allowed me to connect with them—they felt like real, genuine people. Although there were some large jumps in the timeline of the story, I didn’t feel as though it distracted from or made the relationship between the characters confusing or choppy. This is the twelfth book in a series by Tamara Ferguson, but I didn’t feel lost by any potential connecting storylines; this book introduced a new couple! Two Hearts' Christmas Promise was a super fun and quick read. I loved it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great romance.
