The plot is fast-paced with a lighthearted tone that blends the classic style influenced by Agatha Christie and a comedic voice. The story focuses on Miss Marble who captures the personality of an amateur sleuth, using her snooping skills to join different tea groups for gossip and strolling down hallways to listen at doors of bedrooms. The setting of Cheatham Castle comes with cold and rainy weather which creates the perfect atmosphere for mystery, misunderstandings, and mishaps. The mystery isn't a standard murder mystery but instead weaves in a twist of a group gathering with the intention of killing Miss Marble. This adds another layer to the story Aaron T. Knight uses to create an entertaining spoof that is an homage to the classic style of Agatha Christie.
