Truth: Sacred Spiritual Awakenings by S.A. Stitz is not your run-of-the-mill spiritual book, but one with strong philosophical and metaphysical underpinnings. From the opening page, the author explains that: “This book has been compiled for the devout seekers who hunger and struggle to learn the true purpose of life and death by rising beyond their human subjective wisdom to a greater absolute wisdom.” The book starts with the premise that the human mind is always hungry and longing for more knowledge than what is revealed to them, for more wisdom than they have, for more truth, and this innate longing is a testimony of something bigger — absolute truth. But how can one grasp this truth and use it to steer life to its desired end? This book answers the question and offers a lot to ponder on.
In this book, readers will find the path to absolute truth, one that defies human consciousness. The book contains axioms, metaphors, and declarations that are rooted in New Age spirituality and apt references to authors like Jung and his theory of the collective unconscious. Readers will be able to identify an eternal, universal energy vessel and the path to acquire it and they will understand that this truth is not contained in a specific religion or belief system. The book is filled with powerful insights and I loved the way the author redefines truths, stating that: “Awakened Truths are not formulated beliefs as can be seen in most religions but are recognized and known as Absolute. They come directly from enlightened communication by means of the highest spiritual dimensions.” Here is a book that proposes the path to spiritual existentialism, opening new windows that permit readers to peer beyond their immediate reality and connect with something higher and stronger than their lived experience and their hope. Truth: Sacred Spiritual Awakenings is thought-provoking and beautifully written.
