Trine Fallacy is the second book in The Kinderra Saga by C.K. Donnelly. The woes and struggles of Mirana continue as she consistently grapples with her powers and how they impact her people. The future of Kinderra and its people lay heavily on Mirana and her ability to control her Aspects. Saving her people from the clutches of Ken’nar was proving to be more difficult by the day. She needed answers that even her mentor Tetric Garis didn’t have. So, they traveled to a land far away to understand how she could save Kinderra from the dangerous enemy and the wrath of her Aspects. She had no idea she was embarking on a journey that would make things more complex. However, Mirana was no coward, and she never evaded her responsibilities. When push came to shove, Mirana knew she would use her powers to save her people. But would that be enough to protect Kinderra?
I waited a whole year to read Trine Fallacy and I could not be happier with the story. Mirana’s growth and her development floored me. However, it was the emotional struggles of Teagues that surprised me the most. Don’t get me wrong, I expected great things from Mirana, but Teagues’ journey and his thirst to be useful to his people turned the whole story for me. I loved how author C.K. Donnelly once again wrote an elaborate plot with complex characters. The story was gripping with the right amount of action and suspense to keep readers glued to the pages. The twists and turns in the sequel were even more intense than before, and I was genuinely surprised by the ending. I was not expecting that particular revelation made toward the end of chapter twenty-six. This novel was mind-blowingly good, and I cannot wait for what C.K. Donnelly has in store for us in the third novel.
