Touched by Linda Armstrong-Miller is a very compelling book. The main character has a serious problem which started when his father passed and he shut down to the extent that he did not realize that his sister had stepped up to help him. However, he saw it as a betrayal when she seemed to make friends with his new stepdad. The author tackles a genre that might be contentious, but having visitors that have passed on still helping those on earth is not far-fetched or wrong. All avenues are open to the Good Lord who loves us all. Linda Armstrong Miller guides her main characters, as well as a host of minor characters, to bring the story to life with an unexpected climax, and to a surprising end.
In Touched by Linda Armstrong-Miller, the story unfolds, going back in time to 1974 when a murder happened. The author uses this incident to bring the main character back to reality and to the fact that you cannot go through life without caring or having any feelings. The characters, both main and minor, are the guides to the story with its twists and turns and will keep the reader going until the very last twist which will have the reader in tears. The characters are strong and believable and catch the reader's attention. The book holds the reader from the very first page to the very last line. Miller gives the reader a reason to keep reading with the thought that there are still places out there where people care for each other and have each other’s backs. The story is well written and I found that I could not put it down. I read well into the night to finish it. A most sincere and heartfelt story.
