There's Beauty Inside… This Girl: Helping Girls Become Beautiful from the Inside Out by Ciara Ijames is a beautiful book for all girls out there which makes them feel beautiful irrespective of their experiences. This book will help them accept their beauty from a very young age and help them realize that there is beauty inside all of them. This collection of poems gives confidence to young girls and will empower them through education, beauty, and power. The collection is uplifting and insightful and will help girls understand how beautiful they all are because of their thoughts, words, and actions.
All the poems in the book speak to readers and make them understand they all are beautiful without any frills and extras around them. The poems are simple and minimalist in their style yet evocative and convey a lot to readers. I like the thought of having a collection of poems for girls to make them feel beautiful. The Reading Guide Questions at the end of the book are interactive and will encourage readers to reflect on some of the poems in the book. It is difficult to say which poem is my favorite because they all are encouraging and inspiring, and will help girls realize their actual potential. It is definitely a must-have in the personal collection of every young girl because it is the best way to help them understand and see the beauty that lies within.
