Youthful days are filled with new experiences and discoveries, which usually stick with us for the rest of our lives. Michael Snarr's openness to experiencing new adventures and being part of a cause led him to join the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity of the University of Utah Campus in the year 1965. The Wolcott Circus includes stories from Michael's days at the fraternity, where he developed lasting friendships, made memorable connections, and had wild, fun-filled experiences he would remember for decades—including a kidnapping game called "sneak", dressing like a tourist at a casual basketball game with a friend who wore two left shoes, witnessing a cat get "stoned" on marijuana, and much more. The Wolcott Circus is a truly fantastic and heartwarming memoir that documents the times and lives of some interesting young men bonded by a fraternity.
In this informative, comical, and deeply reflective book, Michael Snarr takes readers through the exciting exploits of some young characters in a time that witnessed various challenges: the Vietnam War, AIDS, and several political disturbances. Michael's story contains an in-depth view of what schooling and living in the 1960s/1970s was like in the United States—revealing the fashion, the music, and the social and political conditions of that time.
