I enjoyed reading The Video Game Kids because it is suspenseful, fast-paced, and entertaining. The intense moments had me on the edge of my seat. Martin Smith and Mark Newnham started the story on a high note and maintained the same momentum throughout the book. The narration was conversational, and every chapter ended on a cliffhanger that left me wishing for more. I loved getting to know the characters and enjoyed their development arc. Their story will teach children to be brave and confront their fears. I could not help but root for them, and I loved how their friendship developed naturally. A group that seemed so unworthy managed to form a great bond and make a big difference. They all learn life-changing lessons on their journey and how to utilize their strengths. Fortunately, their journey is not yet over. They have more to come, and I cannot wait to read more about these characters.
