The Terrorist Inclinations is aptly written to address terrorism related issues as obtained in today's world. It proffers amazing and insightful solutions to the problem of terrorism.

The Terrorist Inclinations: A Collection of Terrorism-Related Poems by Pastor Victor Ehighaleh is dedicated to all victims of terrorism. Sixty-three free verse poems in the collection address factors which contribute to terrorism, especially among youth. These include godlessness and the disarray of religion; political and economic instability; social and racial injustice; the rearing of children with extreme views; the lack of balanced education; and the use of the internet and social media to spread hate, bigotry, and the terrorist agenda, among others. Pastor Ehighaleh presents these poems in the hope that terrorists will be inspired to abandon violence; that religious bigots will rethink the meaning of their faith; and that innocent youths may be persuaded to say “No” to terrorism, if they are targeted for recruitment.
Pastor Ehighaleh shares the same thought that many of us have as we read the headlines: “One chooses to live, The other is ready to die. Where is the meeting point? Your guess is as good as mine.” He pleads with terrorists: “You are more than a caricature, Floating on an endless wave of time, Be useful, abandon terrorism – Live and let live.” And he ends The Terrorist Inclinations with a point for the terrorist to consider: “Oh! A man indeed, Full of love and hospitality, A lover of beauty, You make the world go round. The terrorist, the terrorist, the terrorist, The world loves you.” I found some of the poems a bit repetitive, and it may be a challenge for a collection of poems to overcome the old adage that one person's terrorist is another person's freedom fighter. That said, and with a sincere belief that words and positive thinking do have power, I add: Amen.
