As soon as the "Sword of Truth" is introduced, it is clear that big things are bound to happen. A simple farm boy, Gewey, discovers that his life is much more than he ever expected it to be as he joins up with an interesting group of characters in the hope of thwarting the rise of the Dark Knight. Men, elves and demigods join to prevent the destruction of the world by the powers intent on domination and learn a lot about themselves in the process. Very real emotions and every-day issues confront the characters as they race against time and hidden dangers to uncover the secrets that they hope will provide an advantage in the battle that is bound to engulf the world. Book one of the 'Godling Chronicles' carries the reader along on an action-packed adventure that races on to determine the winner in the battle between good and evil.
Brian Anderson has created a rich world in which gods, elves and men join forces to combat the rising power of a tremendous evil force. Taking a farm boy and turning him into a hero is no easy feat but with the help of a guardian and a variety of friends they meet along the way, the author propels the group as it makes its way to a sacred temple where they hope to find the answers to many burning questions. While the characters may be destined for greatness, they still struggle with emotions and issues that are only too common. Trust, dedication and faith in the goal drive the friends on in spite of tremendous obstacles.
