Time travel has a new twist in The Sprocketeers: Great Giza Gonzo. John Stapleton and Sundae create a new kind of historical fiction for kids that explores time travel to ancient Egypt and the pyramids. When the twins, Cooper and Alyx Sprocket, discover an old box in the attic, they can’t help trying to figure out how to open it. Their dad, Clark, tells them that it is impossible, but they are determined to see what’s inside. With the help of their robotic spider, Rivet, they unlock the box and climb inside. What they don’t know is that the box is actually a time machine that is ready to take them on a mission. They arrive in Egypt just in time to help prevent their neighbor, Oswald Pennytinker and his dog Scrap, from attempting to steal the treasure of the pyramids. With the help of Akiiki, an Egyptian boy who sees their box falling from the sky, they are quick to take on their mission. Will Pennytinker get away with the treasure or will the twins be able to stop him?
