The Roman's Woman follows the story of Gio, an exceedingly wealthy man who is in the midst of a horrendous scandal involving his ex-wife and a sniveling excuse of a cousin. His company becomes a benefactor of sorts to Sofia's research and, when he meets her, he is blown away by an immediate attraction. A chance encounter leads to a mistaken identity when romance ignites faster than jet fuel. Set primarily in Rome, this romantic/erotic story will sweep you off your feet as you root for this odd couple, hoping that they will manage to come together, despite Sophia's disdain for the wealthy.
This is a very hot and spicy book; you will fly through the pages while feeling just a teensy bit warm (okay, a LOT bit warm) because of the sexy scenes that are scattered throughout. However, The Roman's Woman is not just an erotic novel. No, this book has substance, great characters, beautiful descriptions of emotions, and internal battles. Author Lucy Leroux does a beautiful job of not only developing her characters and the struggles that each one faces, despite an exterior illusion of perfection to the world, but also in bringing the reader to Rome, walking the reader through the streets, hand in hand with Gio and Sophia. You won't just be reading their feelings and emotions and indecisions, you will be experiencing them alongside the characters. By the end of The Roman's Woman, you will consider Gio and Sophia your friends. I highly recommend this book, and will be recommending it to friends.
