The Net Conspiracy by DM Coffman is a conspiracy thriller that will have you biting your nails and holding your breath. Jason Yi is a Chinese-American attorney who has made a name for himself and proved his worth to everyone who matters. So when he is given the task to go to China as an undercover agent, he thinks something is amiss. He is an attorney, not an agent, but when duty calls, he is ready to do whatever it takes and to do it right. So he goes to China to expose the corrupt judicial system that is holding the country back. With so many officials involved in keeping the system as it is, how can Jason find the culprit and expose them? He is all alone there and his task is bigger than he ever anticipated. What is he going to do now?
Packed with action and filled with rich details, the author has done a great job of creating a believable storyline and filled it with characters that help in progressing the plot. The pace is fast, the characters are given plenty of time to develop and the overall ambiance of the story grows with the plot. The plot is richly detailed and it is apparent that the author did a lot of research to make the plot credible. Jason Yi’s character is very believable, he is smart yet he is a little unsure of himself. He wanted to know more, he wanted to do better and get to the bottom of the matter. I enjoyed the story, I enjoyed Jason’s progress and I loved the subject matter. I cannot wait for the next installment.
