The Mob Invades, the second book in Hunter X. Johnson's The Warlord and the Multiverse series, depicts a battle to maintain peace and defend an empire from a formidable foe in a futuristic alien world with ancient bonds.
I enjoyed the book's sophisticated world-building. If you've ever wondered what living in a world heavily dependent on AI would be like, you will like reading about a society where AI does all the major work, and the insect aliens get to do what they love. Jason is such an interesting character. His ability to maintain a warm, sexual relationship with multiple women while plotting intricate strategies to counter his foes gives him an image that commands respect and attention. Hunter X. Johnson weaves in several gems that sci-fi fans will love, including telepathy, aliens, AI, multiple dimensions, advanced biotech, and much more. Star Wars fans and sci-fi enthusiasts should read The Mob Invades to explore new, enthralling space worlds. I could feel my imaginative and strategic skills improving with every page.
